History

Mashhoor Engineering Consultancy was the brainchild of its Managing Director, Mr. Mashhoor Dawood Al Asfoor, on returning to Oman with double degrees in Civil and Architectural Engineering from the US. Since its inception in 1991 at Sohar, MEC stands for its quality based professional contributions to the construction industry as Architectural and Civil Consultants.

The discerning business strategy of the Managing Director added by the unflinching support of the team of professionals that constitute MEC clearly embellishes the word ‘Mashhoor’ literally. Growth and change are imperative pillars to success. This has been imbibed into the Firms structure policy as is visible from its offices that are up and running. The flexibility feature of our system allows us to set up new offices if the situation demands so. Whatever the scenario, we at MEC believe that ‘quality never costs, it only pays’ and so however demanding never compromise on it.

MEC, for its ease and excellence of execution spread its roots and now can boast of offices in Sohar and Ibri other than its office in the capital city, Muscat. Constantly pushing horizons, we have an office in Dubai as well. The undeniable fact that the entire organization is very soundly inter- connected aids MEC in keeping up with its promises of improved quality and richer solutions all within the specified time frame.
